Of course, I went for the postcard-perfect beaches or the famous temples, but mostly because I was intrigued. The smell of street food sizzling on a busy market stall, the quiet beauty of a sunrise over the ocean, the warmth of strangers who quickly feel like friends. This trip is all about discovering both sides of Thailand: the north, with its green hills, elephants, and temples, and the south, where island life slows everything down, and the ocean feels warm.
